Vanar Swap FAQ

Vanar Swap is the official portal for moving your VANRY tokens onto Base. You connect a wallet, choose the chain where your current VANRY sits (Ethereum, Vanar Chain, or Polygon), lock the amount you want to migrate, and an equal amount of new VANRY arrives automatically at that same wallet address on Base.

There is no bridge to operate and no separate claim step. Once your lock transaction confirms on the source chain, delivery on Base happens on its own.

Vanar is shifting its focus from running its own standalone chain to building on Base as the home for AI Organisations, persistent AI-powered business structures with their own memory, policies, payments, and reputation. Base gives Vanar access to a larger builder ecosystem, deeper liquidity, and lower fees and faster confirmations, which matter for AI Organisations making frequent small payments. Moving VANRY there gives the whole ecosystem a single chain to operate on instead of splitting liquidity across several.

Migration is always 1:1. For every 1.00 VANRY you lock on your source chain, you receive 1.00 new VANRY on Base.

Vanar charges no migration fee. You still pay the normal network gas cost for the lock transaction on the chain you're migrating from (and for the approval transaction if you're migrating from Ethereum or Polygon).

You can migrate from Ethereum, Vanar Chain, or Polygon. Every migration delivers to the same destination: Base. You don't select or configure the destination, it's always Base regardless of which source chain you start from.

No. After your lock transaction confirms, new VANRY is delivered automatically to the same wallet address on Base, usually within about 4 hours. There's no separate claim step to submit, and no action required on Base.

• A wallet holding VANRY on Ethereum, Vanar Chain, or Polygon, that you can access via a browser extension or a mobile app.

• A small amount of that chain's native gas token (ETH on Ethereum, POL on Polygon, or Vanar's own gas token on Vanar Chain) to cover the lock transaction fee, plus the approval fee if migrating from Ethereum or Polygon.

• The swap window must be open. Migration only works while the window is active.

1. Open the Swap Portal in your browser and select Connect Wallet in the top right.

2. Choose your wallet from the list shown. A browser extension wallet prompts you directly; a mobile wallet app usually lets you scan a code to link it.

3. Approve the connection request in your wallet. This only confirms your address to the portal and does not move any funds.

4. Check that your wallet shows the correct network for the chain where you currently hold VANRY. If it's on an unsupported network, the portal flags this so you can switch.

Once connected, the Connect Wallet button is replaced by your shortened wallet address, and your VANRY balance for the selected source chain appears next to it.

Your wallet needs to be connected to the same network as the source chain you picked in the portal, otherwise the portal can't read your balance or send your lock transaction.

1. Select the source chain you want to migrate from in the portal.

2. If your wallet is already on that network, no action is needed. If not, the portal shows a switch prompt, confirm it.

3. Your wallet extension opens its own confirmation window asking you to approve the network change. Approve it.

4. If your wallet doesn't already recognise that network, it will ask you to add it first, approve this and your wallet switches automatically.

5. Check that your wallet's displayed network now matches the source chain selected in the portal.

You may not need to use the Swap Portal at all. Each exchange announces its own process once its support for the migration is confirmed, some exchanges handle the migration for you, others may ask you to withdraw first and migrate manually.

Until your exchange confirms its process, don't take any action. Don't send VANRY out of an exchange into the Swap Portal unless official instructions from Vanar or the exchange tell you to.

Unstake and claim your tokens first so they sit in your own wallet, ready to migrate once the swap window is live. Staking on Vanar Chain is winding down as everything consolidates onto Base.

Yes. Each source chain requires its own separate lock transaction. Connect your wallet, select a source chain, lock the amount, wait for that chain's Base delivery, then repeat the process for the next chain.

You can enter a specific amount to lock or choose to lock your full balance in one step. To migrate everything you hold, you need to lock the VANRY on every source chain you hold it on, one lock transaction per chain.

The swap window runs for exactly 30 days, opening on August 11, 2026 at 13:00 UTC and closing on September 10, 2026 at 13:00 UTC. There is only one window, it does not repeat and it is not extended chain by chain. A phase banner and live countdown on the portal show whether the window is open and how much time remains.

If you haven't locked your VANRY by the time the window closes, you can no longer use the portal to receive new VANRY on Base. There is no late migration path built into the portal for tokens left on Ethereum, Polygon, or Vanar Chain after the deadline.

Yes. If you already locked VANRY on a source chain before the window closed, your corresponding VANRY on Base is still delivered as normal, since payout depends on your lock being confirmed, not on the window still being open.

Locking is permanent, your original tokens are not returned to you. After migration, the old contracts on Ethereum, Vanar Chain, and Polygon no longer represent the active VANRY economy, and they are planned for eventual deprecation once the swap window closes.

The old contracts include a network-wide pause and unpause capability, but they do not include any way to blacklist an address, freeze an individual holder's tokens, or claw back a balance, and that can't be added later. Any final steps taken against the old contracts are announced publicly through official Vanar channels before they take effect.

Connect the wallet you used to make the swap and open the swap history section of the portal. Find your swap by its source chain and amount, and read its status. The list refreshes automatically, so you don't need to reload the page.

• Requested: your lock transaction has been seen but isn't yet confirmed on the source chain.

• Pending: the lock is confirmed and the swap is queued for payout on Base.

• Processing: the Base payout is being sent to your wallet.

• Confirmed: the new VANRY has been delivered to your wallet on Base, this is the completed state.

• Failed: the swap did not complete and the payout was not made.

• Reorged: the source chain reorganised after your lock, so the swap is being re-checked.

Only use the Swap Portal announced through Vanar's official channels. Don't trust links shared in comments, direct messages, community chat replies, or screenshots, and don't act on unofficial websites claiming to run the migration. Migration is only ever possible during the single, fixed swap window, there's no way to migrate before it opens or after it closes.
